As a tribute show we make our setlist up to suit the venues we are playing.
Typically we play venues where people expect a show to make them dance so for this reason we are obliged to include the most uptempo and the most popular Crowded House & Split Enz songs that people know and that people will respond to and get up out of their chairs and dance to.
Crowded House have some beautiful ballads. However these are next to useless at a typical Hotel & Club gig where we are basically booked to fill the dance floor.
But the opposite applies to seated dinner show gigs where we don’t need to play endless dance songs – and we skew the setlist toward the beautiful singalong ballads.
We enjoy playing both kinds of gigs – however they are somewhat different shows.
At a dinner show dancing is often related to a space at the back of the room so as not to block the view and annoy the seated patrons who have bought a ticket to sit and watch the show.
Some of a typical dinner show audience would only go and see us at a dinner show and wouldn’t venture out to a Hotel or Club as they prefer a calm intimate setting where they won’t be disturbed by lots of motion around them.
You can see the two different types of shows we do on the clips on the home page here.
This intimate setting allows for more ballads, singalongs and storytelling.
Dinner Shows particularly suit Live Music Restaurants and Clubs. Dinner Shows suit a mature paying audience who wouldn’t usually attend a rock show.
