The New Orana Hotel – Newcastle.
We were excited and grateful to be playing a new venue for us in Newcastle.
This was even better news for the band members who live in the Newcastle – Central Coast area, our drummer Alex Quayle, Keys boy Aiden Danser & our soundy, Jason Jagos.
This was a Sunday beer garden day time gig at a newly renovated South Newcastle pub the New Orana Hotel.
This venue has recently acquired new owners who are having a damn good go at creating a nice local music scene with some regular tribute shows booked by local Newcastle music legend Adam Diver from the Newcastle bands Viagro and the tribute show Ninties-AF
The pattern of me doing a small facebook ad spend to promote the show and entice local folks to make their way to see us play seems to be working.
We had a great turnout for a Sunday daytime show in a new venue and got some nice facebook fan reviews from this gig.
One Central Coast fan even made the trek up to see us play again – thanks Sian Huntly!
We had some fantastic crowd singalongs on the usual singalong tunes, Fall At Your Feet, Better Be Home Soon and Weather With You.
The weather was great – pardon the pun.
The staff were fantastic with the manger looking after us with meals, drinks and a nice dressing room.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to play a new venue and we’d like to promote and encourage locals to attend more shows at this great pub as this is the only sure way for music to continue to be booked.
Tribute bands are not the cheapest so hats off to the owners for employing Adam to make this all happen.
We’d love to play again at the New Orana Hotel.
